However, I would suggest you arrange the dresser and bed as I described in the above paragraph. I do like the larger bathroom in the second floor plan.

I do not know what is involved in the exterior of your home, but perhaps you could center the windows on the wall or add more matching windows and have draw draperies for privacy. Then, you could move the bed to the longer wall that has the window at the bottom of the diagram. This arrangement would require you to move the dresser, and perhaps you could put it on the shorter wall that is to the left of the bedroom entry door, at the top of the diagram. This arrangement would involve putting the bathroom door between the toilet and the open side of the tub, and perhaps a sliding door or pocket doors would save space.

Of course, you might save space by having a shower that would be one foot shorter than a tub/shower combination on this same wall. However, be sure to have enough space to stand in front of the second sink, which would be across from the other end of the tub. Then, put a tub/shower combination across the bottom of the bathroom diagram, beginning with the left corner and extending toward the sinks. In the first version, perhaps you could turn the closet area into one large walk-in closet with the closet door facing the bedroom. Then, in the bathroom, put the toilet against either side of the short wall where you now have the end of the tub or even across this small corner. Just finished cutting the trim that's going in tomorrow.I have suggestions for both versions. Any questions let me knowĮdit: here's 2 pics You can see the recessed box in the mirror, it's not complete. The room feels bigger because the storage is down low and not in your face. I needed storage and we didn't want to put an over the toilet cabinet up so we went with the vanity with drawers.

If this isn't a primary bathroom and you could do a pedestal sink, you'll be golden when it comes to free space. Using a free standing roll holder until I make a decision on that one. I only have 33" and that extra 7" would have allowed me to mount the toilet paper roll on the side of the vanity comfortably. I'd try and give yourself atleast 40" between the tub and vanity for the toilet. My vanity is slightly too wide, a sacrifice my wife was willing to make in the name of good sinktop space at 31 inches. Floating vanity by Ikea, euro small toilet by Ariel. I could go on all day about how much I love these vinyl plank floors. I went with lotus leaf green walls, pretty dark considering it's small and there are no windows, but the vanity, sink, tub insert, trim are all pure white and the floor is sterling oak gray vinyl plank floor so the colors balance out very well. Thought it was a pretty clever space saving trick. With the 4 inches of recessed space, I have (3) 8" deep shelves that only protrude 4 inches as to not take up much of the precious free space in the room. On the bare wall across from the vanity and toilet, I cut a big hole in the wall and built a box to make recessed shelves. 64" to the front edge of the tub, 60" wide, same layout except toilet and sink are on left not right. Just redid mine, well almost done that is lol.
